Route description

A long-standing DXT distance, from 2026 it debuts a brand-new course to thrill athletes of every level, whether Dolomiti Extreme Trail veterans or first-timers in the valley. Over 75 kilometres of pure challenge: once you have known the wild spirit and majesty of the Dolomites of the Val di Zoldo, loving these peaks enough to take on the 103K too will be all too easy.

From the start in Forno the route climbs into its wildest, wooded part up to Casera Cornigia (km 13) and Forcella Piccola (2,000 m), the gateway to the Dolomiti Bellunesi National Park. After Malga Pramper (km 18.5) and the Vach pond (km 24) it climbs to Col de le Ole and the villages of Sottorogno, Foppa, Cercenà and Fusine (km 34, first time gate).

A long climb leads to Coi, the highest village in the valley (1,494 m), and to I Lac (km 38, 1,980 m) at the foot of Monte Pelmo, where the route joins the 103K towards Zoppè di Cadore (km 45). After Rifugio Talamini it climbs to Monte Rite (2,180 m, km 56) and descends to Forcella Cibiana (km 60), the last time gate.

Then comes the "famous" Calada descent, to be tackled with caution: 1,000 metres of drop in about 1.5 km. After the Mugon aid station (km 67.5) and the undulating trail beneath the Castelaz cliffs, a steep forest-road descent and a final 2 km of asphalt through Pra, Sommariva and Campo lead to the finish, for a total elevation gain of about 4,800 m and 4 ITRA points.
