Route description
New to the 2025 edition, the 35K offers elevation changes in pure "Extreme" style, but without the exposed sections that characterise the three longer races.
From the start in Forno (850 m) the route crosses the Pratoront plain and reaches Pralongo (km 3); from the church a forest-pastoral road climbs to the Vach pond (km 6). On a steep path it continues to the scree of Vant dei Gravinai and Forcella Val Barance (1,670 m, km 9), where the descent begins, first on a path then on a white road, down to Sottorogno (km 13).
The route climbs again through Foppa, Cercenà — a tiny village with a single inhabitant — and Fusine (aid station, km 17). A long climb of about 5 km leads to Coi, the highest village in the valley (1,494 m), and to I Lac (km 21, 1,980 m), at the foot of the majestic Monte Pelmo.
Two short but steep climbs lead to the summit of Monte Punta (1,950 m), a spectacular viewpoint over all the Zoldo Dolomites, followed by a steady 6 km descent on a military road to Casal. The final 2 km of asphalt cross Bragarezza, Pra, Sommariva and Campo to the finish in Forno, for a total elevation gain of about 2,470 m and 2 ITRA points.
