The 55k is an exciting ups and downs between woods, rocks and uncontaminated scenery. It will be the Dolomite landscapes to give you the joy of running, thinking about the route you have already covered and keeping your eyes on the goal.

Finisher prize by Karpos.

Dolomiti Extreme Trail celebrates the Val di Zoldo and the southern massifs of the UNESCO World Heritage Dolomites. You will be the protagonist of this extreme journey, where beauty and the severity of the rocks go hand in hand.

The finisher prize of the 11th DXT developed by Karpos for athletes of the 103K, 72K and 55K will be an everlasting reminder of this journey. It is a 3-in-1 short that combines boxer shorts, overpants and a waistband with one pocket. An extremely lightweight garment that will accompany you on summer and mid-season outings. So that you can wear it, taking a small part of the Dolomites with you everywhere.

Departure from DXT Village in Forno at 850 m above sea level.
After the initial 2 km that lead to the Pratoront plain, you reach Pralongo at 1000 m above sea level (4th km); near the church, take the road the uphill forest-pastoral road that reaches the Vach lake (6th km), where it joins up with the 103k and 72k route. Continue under the slopes of San Sebastiano on a single track up to the first time gate of Passo Duran (14th km).
Here begins the most demanding part of the route with the tough climb to Bivacco Grisetti (2050 m asl) and the equally demanding descent towards the Malga Grava refreshment point (20 km), followed by crossing the scree of Monte Civetta, the Tivan path, with the passage at the highest point, at 2350 m asl (Busa del Zuiton) which ends with a stop at the refreshment point at Rifugio Coldai (2135 m). You then descend to Malga Pioda (29th km, refreshment) and continue on meadows and grassy slopes towards another refreshment point above 2000 m, the Belvedere Refuge (34th km), before arriving at the life base of Passo Staulanza, second time gate (39th km).
Now the undulating path, sometimes muddy, runs at the base of the Pelmo massif up to the Passo Tamai refreshment point (44th km); from here two short but hard uphill stretches that lead to the 1950 m asl of Mount Punta, a spectacular panoramic point over the whole of the Zoldo Dolomites which is followed by a regular descent of 6 km on a military road up to Casal.
The last 2 km on asphalt cross the villages of Bragarezza, Pra, Sommariva and Campo and finally the finish in Forno.
The total altitude difference is about 3800 m.
