Over 100 kilometers, 6400 meters in altitude, 5 UTMB points, 30 hours of maximum time. These are the numbers, certainly not enough to describe a race capable of arousing overwhelming emotions. The route retraces for many sections the “Anello Zoldano”, the Zoldo Ring, the famous high route that allows you to discover the peaks that form the natural setting of the Val di Zoldo.
Departure from DXT Village in Forno at 850 m above sea level.
After the initial 2 km on the flat road, take the steep path that crosses the wildest and wooded part of the route with some challenging stretches between mountain pines and gravel towards the Sturlon di Cornìa (1828 m) up to the large grassy basin of Casera Cornigia (13 km, refreshment area) and then, after about 15 km, to the 2000 m of Forcella Piccola, entrance into the Dolomiti Bellunesi National Park.
Descent and ascent towards the Pramperet refuge, then climb back up to the ruins of the Moschesin pass fort at 1950 m (18,5 km) and then descend to reach the Pramper mountain hut (21st km); continue under the slopes of San Sebastiano on white roads and single tracks up to the first time gate of Passo Duran (32th km).
Here begins the most demanding part of the route with the tough climb to Bivacco Grisetti (2050 m asl) and the equally demanding descent towards the Malga Grava refreshment point (39th km), The route then traverses the slopes of Mount Civetta, before plunging down to the Palanche aid station (km 44), and tackling a tough 3 km ascent up to Malga Pioda (km 47, aid station) and continue on meadows and grassy slopes towards another refreshment point above 2000 m, the Belvedere Refuge (51th km), before arriving at the life base of Passo Staulanza, second time gate (58th km).
Now the undulating route, sometimes muddy, runs at the base of the Mount Pelmo massif up to Zoppé di Cadore, a renowned refreshment point and time gate at km 69, then the easy stretch of about 5 km for the refreshment spot at the Talamini Refuge and the climb forest up to the summit of Mount Rite at 2180 m (80th km).
Quick descent towards the Forcella Cibiana refreshment point (84 km), last time gate, to then tackle the last part of the route with the "famous" Calada descent, to be tackled with caution (1000 m difference in altitude in about 1.5 km) and the ascent to the Bosconero Refuge (90th km).
The last part of the route is on a path, downhill for 3 km, then undulating, with the last 2 km on asphalt through the villages of Pra, Sommariva and Campo.
The total altitude difference is about 6400 m.
